Sighting the wilderness approaching the sky

We were picked up by the guides and staff from our hotel at about 0430. The drive through the national park from our hotel to the balloon launch site during the dark hours of the morning was awesome.

Upon reaching the launch site, we were greeted by the rest of the crew, offered freshly brewed hot coffee/tea to keep us warm and wake us up. Given a brief introduction and induction on the safety features of the balloon safari.

The sky safari is an experience not to be missed. We were able to spot various animals, witness the sunrise and meet new people. After the safari which was about an hour long, we landed to our spot and celebrated with a juice and champagne, then were driven to the bush safari breakfast site. On the way our guide spotted lions having their breakfast and got an opportunity to take a few pictures.

The breakfast was freshly prepared and no complaints. I totally recommend those going to the Serengeti to consider the balloon safari through Miracle experience.
