Meet Ali Güzel, our talented Turkish hot-air balloon pilot! With over 1500+ hours of flight experience. Ali's passion for ballooning was ignited at the Balloon Festival in Cappadocia in 1997. With 12 years of flying experience and a variety of certifications and awards under his belt, Ali brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to every flight.
When not flying, you can find Ali indulging in his passions for software programming, traveling, and watching movies. If he could fly with any famous person, it would be none other than Elon Musk!
For those considering a hot air balloon flight, Ali's advice is simple - "Don’t think! Just do it!" To make the most out of the experience, he suggests bringing your cameras and letting your pilot fly you to the sky.

Ali was a fabulous pilot and guide. We had never been on a balloon ride before and he made things easy and fun. We saw various animals the highlight was two porcupines (as silly as that may sound) that we otherwise hadn’t seen in our time in the Serengeti. The breakfast was amazing and the loo with a view was perfect with elephants walking by right on cue!

This is a must-do activity while in Tanzania. Everything was very well coordinated and it was an amazing experience. We were briefed on the previous evening about the schedule, what to wear, etc and Calvin was right on time to pick us up from the campsite. At the balloon site, we were greeted with a cup of hot coffee/tea, which was very much needed as it was a cold morning. We met our pilot, Ali, who had a great sense of humor and made the flight enjoyable. We flew over the plains for an hour, had coffee during the flight, and saw lots of animals.
After landing, we were taken to the bush breakfast site. The spread was good and everything was tasty.
All the staff, balloon, and breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
